Though I had confidence, I knew I still didn’t feel well in my own skin. It has been exactly 98 days since I stepped on that treadmill that evening I was supposed to see H2O at Churchill’s, and though being fit is a neverending journey, I learn something new every day about my health and the food I eat and the fact that the finish line starts over every day makes every day interesting for me. As long as I continue to strive to be healthy and sound like I already have been, I will continue to grow strong in body, mind, and soul. Every day, I wake up grateful and proud of myself for the time, love, and care I gave my body so I can be where I am today. I beam when my friends, boyfriend, family members, and anyone tells me I look great and that they’re proud of me. Some have told me I’m an inspiration to them! I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart. It’s never too late to start. I know I sound like a fitspiration account, but what I’m saying is true. Don’t do it for the summer or anyone or anything but yourself. The better body is one of the perks; the true perks include a better immune system, stronger muscles, a faster metabolism, a more positive aura and attitude…. I can go on.
